Today we reflect on the reality that opposition and suffering often accompany the spread of the gospel. Through this passage, we see Paul's reflection on the persecution he and the Thessalonian church faced, reminding us that the path of following Jesus may not be easy, but it is worth it, and that we can persevere in our faith with the hope and comfort that comes from the knowledge of our salvation in Jesus Christ.
